Iran-Afghanistan trade
Tehran - FNA

Afghanistan's Ambassador to Tehran Nassir Ahmad Nour voiced satisfaction in the volume of trade transactions between Iran and Afghanistan, and said that the figure has hit $5 billion.
"The value of trade transactions between Tehran and Kabul, including non-oil products and transit good, hits $5 billion," the Afghan envoy said Tuesday.
He noted that trade transactions between Iran and Afghanistan is increasing and will even rise further once sanctions against Iran are removed.
Iran is one of the most important donors to Afghanistan, which has kept its promises to help to the reconstruction of the war-ravaged country.
Iran has built several roads, power transmission lines, border stations and many other infrastructure projects to better link the two nations.
Iran has also contributed more than $50mln annually to Afghan anti-narcotics efforts during the last five years.
Last week, Afghan Foreign Minister Zarar Ahmad Osmani in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Kabul Mohammad Reza Bahrami called for the further expansion of relations with Tehran in all fields.
During the meeting in Kabul on Thursday, Osmani expressed satisfaction over the level of Tehran-Kabul cooperation, and said both states enjoy great potentials to expand cooperation.
Describing the bilateral relations as cordial, the Afghan top diplomat called for the promotion of all-out cooperation with Iran.
Bahrami, for his part, reiterated that the two nations enjoy amicable relations.
