Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Friday that he would represent Russia at the APEC summit in Papua New Guinea in November.
"We believe we need to complement the common bank of ideas, develop cooperation within the framework of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation. It will help to essentially establish a large open market within the framework of the Asia-Pacific Region. This is what we are going to talk about at the forthcoming APEC summit in mid-November in Papua New Guinea. I must be there," Medvedev said.
The APEC summit will be staged in Papua New Guinea on November 15-17. Russia traditionally has a high-level representation at these meetings.
