Cairo - Arab Today

There are indications that the terrorist group Daesh has been seeking to find a back base in Libya after the strong strikes it has been dealt with in Syria and Iraq, Libyan Foreign Minister Mohamed al Dairi has said.

In statements after meeting Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Monday, he pointed out to statements by Tunisian officials that more than 290 Tunisian terrorists returned to their country from Libya.

He said that Daesh has been facing challenges in Syria and Iraq after the Russian strikes against their bases, adding that there are African fears that Daesh would be a link between Boko Haram and Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM).

The Libyan foreign minister said that he had positive and important talks with Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on means to cement national dialogue and support Libya against terrorism.
