Representatives Council Speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani underscored the parliament's support to all steps taken to further boost Bahraini women's status, preserve their dignity and protect their rights. Marking Bahrain Women Day (December 1), He voiced the Representatives Council's resolve to assume its monitoring and legislative role to achieve the aspirations of Bahraini women, cater to their needs, boost their social role and carry out the goals of the royal reform project and the democratic process. He commended the key role of the Bahraini female media persons in all public and private institutions in spotlighting national achievements. He hailed the continuous efforts of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), spearheaded by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and SCW Chairperson, in further empowering Bahraini women and serving them. He lauded the tremendous support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. He praised the female MPs' key contributions to developing parliamentary work and serving the national interests.
