The Arab Quartet meeting of the foreign ministers of Egypt, Bahrain, the UAE and Saudi Arabia started in Manama on Sunday.
Foreign Ministers Sameh Shoukry of Egypt, Khaled ben Ahmed Al Khalifa of Bahrain, Adel al Jubeir of Saudi Arabia and Sheikh Abdullah ben Zayed al Nahayyan of the UAE attended the meeting.
The meeting falls within the framework of an agreement reached during the Cairo meeting of the foreign ministers earlier this months to hold continued consultations on ongoing efforts to stop Qatar's support for terrorism and extremism as well as its interference into the internal affairs of regional states.
The four states have cut ties with Qatar in an attempt to prod it into changing its policy.
