As many as 43 different ships navigated via the Suez Canal today in the two directions within two main convoys, both from Northward and Southward with a total tonnage of over 2.5 million tons. In a statement issued here today, the Canal Authority said that the convoy moving northward consisted of 24 ships with a load of 2.28 million tons, while the load of the other 18-ship convoy to the opposite direction was at 2.29 million tons.
