Forty-three ships transited the Suez Canal on Thursday, carrying a total cargo of 2.472 million tons, spokesman of the Suez Canal Authority Tareq Hassanein said.
The south-bound convoy included 23 vessels carrying 1.313 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 20 ships carrying 1.158 million tons.
