The Deira Corniche is a much-forgotten area of town, but this 400-room stalwart has played a significant role on the Dubai hotel scene since 1980. The exterior, in particular, is a far cry from the polished glass and chrome of more modern properties but with so many tourist attractions under the one roof it is worth considering.
