Syrian actress Raghda regards defending the Syrian president as a national duty against what she considers an outside interference in Syria’s internal affairs. Raghda expressed her sadness about an Egyptian lawyer filing a lawsuit against her to ban her from entering Egypt. The head of Egypt Actors’ Union, Ashraf Abdul Ghafour, recently said that a strict punishment would be imposed on any actor who stood against Arab revolutions. Raghda said that she did not speak against the Egyptian revolution, and that it was unfair to be punished for something she did not do. She believes that the Syrian president is trying hard to preserve peace in the country.
