Aden governor Abdulaziz Benhabtor and Iran's ambassador to Yemen Hussein Niknam reviewed on Thursday the available investment opportunities at economic and services sectors in Aden province.
In the meeting, Benhabtor expressed the local authority's willingness to provide all facilities and support for any investment in the province or Aden Free Zone (AFZ) in accordance with the investment law.
The technocratic government has given further powers to Aden harbor, airport and the AFZ to revitalize economy and create jobs opportunities in the province, he said.
The Iranian ambassador affirmed the importance of advancing the economic relations between Yemen and Iran, expressing his country's readiness to study Aden's needs of service and investment projects.
He said Iran has high capacities in setting up power plants, oil refineries and cement and pharmaceutical factories.
"Iran is ready to meet any Yemeni request to invest in these fields," Niknam said. He expressed his country's readiness to support Aden in various fields, including training Yemeni students in Iranian universities and increasing scholarships for Yemeni students.
