The Ukraine crisis has negatively impacted the trade exchange between Germany on one hand and Russia and Ukraine on the other hand in the first quarter of 2014, a German government committee revealed Friday.
The Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations, said that Germany's trade exchange with Russia hit 10.3 billion euros in the first four months of 2014, down 14 percent compared with that of the corresponding period of 2013.
Meanwhile, the trade exchange between Germany and Ukraine stood at 1.3 billion euros in the first quarter of 2014, down 31 percent vis-أ -vis that of 2013, the committee said.
The committee has surveyed the views of 100 German companies operative in Russia.
Sixty of the surveyed companies expect more negative repercussions of the Ukraine crisis on their enterprises and 22 revealed plans to freeze their investments in Russia, the committee said.
