Pakistani Prime Minister Mohammed Nawaz Sharif held here today a business meeting with the Labour Minister and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan
They explored ways to bolster joint cooperation through the exchange of visits and pioneering expertise in the fields of labour force and vocational training.
Humaidan affirmed the Kingdom's keen interest in consolidating Bahrain-Pakistan relations in all fields, highlighting Pakistan's prominent role in Asia and the Islamic world.
He expressed hope that cooperation, especially in the fields of labour force and vocational training, will be enhanced in line with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in this regard during His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's last visit to Pakistan in March, 2014.
He reviewed Bahrain's programmes and projects in regulating the labour market, affirming Bahrain's rapid growth in the labour market thanks to the government's strategy.
He pointed out that the kingdom's labour laws stimulated foreign investments and created more opportunities in all fields.
He asserted that the national laws are in line with international agreements which enhance the rights of expatriate and national workers, lauding the role of the Pakistani community and its contribution to Bahrain's development march.
PM Sharif hailed the positive developments in the Kingdom since the inauguration of HM the King's reform project in the political, economic and trade fields, affirming that Bahrain's experience in the regulation improvement of labour market is one of the pioneering regional experiences, giving Bahrain's outstanding reputation in this field.
He expressed his thanks to the Bahraini government and people for the care and safety enjoyed by the Pakistani community, thanks to the Bahraini people's tolerance and respect for different cultures, as well as the laws and regulations that protect the rights of everyone without discrimination.
