Japan and Qatar will hold a meeting of the Joint Economic Committee on Thursday in Tokyo, the Japanese Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.
The Japanese side will be led by Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Yoichi Miyazawa, while Qatari Energy and Industry Minister Mohammad Saleh Al-Sada will head his country's delegation, according to the ministry.
At the meeting, both sides will review the latest update on the development of the bilateral cooperation between the two countries towards the "Comprehensive Partnership," which was agreed during Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's visit to Doha in August 2013, it said.
The two sides are also expected to discuss possibility for further cooperation in a wide range of fields including energy and business environment, it said.
