The Japanese Government has decided to extend emergency grant aid of $1 million to Yemen through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), which administers the Yemen National Dialogue and Constitutional Reform Trust Fund (YNDCRTF). The grant will appropriate for supporting the constitution-making process towards promotion of national reconciliation and stabilization of political situation in Yemen, according to a press release. "Political crisis in Yemen has been aggravated recently. There is a growing risk that the destabilizing situation will adversely affect the transitional process including constitutional referendum and forthcoming elections."
