Ankara - IRNA

Iran's Ambassador to Turkey, Bahman Hosseinpour, says there are certain groups at work to harm Tehran-Ankara ties, that are in the best possible level. Addressing a meeting of Iranian physicians in Ankara, Hosseinpour said the Tehran-Ankara ties are in the best possible level, triggering jealousy of certain people and countries. 'That's why there are individuals trying to harm the two-way relations.' He said some individuals want to show Iran and Turkey as rivals in the region, whereas they are complementary to each other. Putting volume of Iran-Turkey trade at more than USD 16 billion, the diplomat said the figure is expected to reach close to USD 30 billion in the near future. He pointed to recent visit of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Teyyip Erodgan to Tehran, saying, 'I should say that was the most successful visit of Erdogan to Iran but certain people in Turkey were making conspiracy to question success of the visit.' He said relations between the two countries are in the highest level and are expanding despite difference of opinion between Iranian and Turkish officials on certain subjects, including Syria. On nuclear issue, he said the nuclear problem of Iran will soon be solved if westerners do not make any mischief. He said the Iranian officials attending the Istanbul meeting did not backdown from stances even one single step.
