Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) has highlighted its advantages and opportunities at the OSEA 2014, the international oil and gas industry exhibition and conference that concluded recently in Singapore.
The biennial tradeshow attracted top oil and gas players, service providers, industry experts and SMEs from around the world.
Alongside 1500 international exhibitors from 48 countries, Hamriyah Free Zone showcased its services and advantages to 28000 attendees. The event, which is the point of entry to Asia’s oil and gas arena, brought industrialists from different sectors including engineering, fabrication, construction and contracting, health, safety and environment, instrumentation and control technology and marine equipment and services.
"The oil and gas industry has become vital to Hamriyah Free Zone and the zone has emerged as the second largest hub for petrochemicals, oil & gas bunkering and storage in the UAE," said Saud Al Mazrouei, director of Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) and Sharjah Airport Free Zone (SAIF ZONE).
"This international industry event provided an insight into a multitude of technologies and solutions covering various fields within the oil and gas community and gave us an opportunity to network with the major oil and gas players," said Ali Al Jarwan, Deputy Commercial Director of HFZA, who led the team to Singapore.
"Our objective for participating at the OSEA was to promote the outstanding capabilities of the HFZA and the inquiries we received exceeded our expectations," he added.
Hamriyah Free Zone, which is fast emerging as one of the cornerstones of the UAE’s industrial development, houses over 6000 enterprises from across 155 nations, attracting foreign investment from more than 500 industry verticals in the key sectors like oil & gas, petrochemicals, maritime, steel, construction, and food.
