China will take the centre stage next week at one of the world's biggest business festivals this year, currently under way in Liverpool.
The theme from June 30 to July 4 at the International Festival of Business (IFB) is "China Week".
The aim is to introduce British businesses to trade, investment and commercial opportunities in the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong.
The IFB was opened earlier this month by British Prime Minister David Cameron.
The China Week is supported by London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, UK Trade and Investment (UKTI), the British government's overseas investment arm, China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) and Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC).
One of the keynote events will take place on July 4 to offer British businesses information on business opportunities and challenges in the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong.
A spokesman for the event organisers said: "China Week will explore opportunities in China in a range of sectors, including Life Sciences, Health and Social Care, Advanced Manufacturing and Transport, Energy, Environment and Infrastructure, Retail, Culture and the Experience Economy, E-commerce, Professional Services, High Value Opportunities (HVOs)."
Event spokeswoman Nicola Harris said: "We will have a number of opportunities for people to book 1:1's with organisations including the Qingdao Economic Development Zone, CBBC and UKTI as well as other exhibitors."
The IFB is spanning seven weeks in June and July, attracting business delegates and trade intermediaries from around the world.
