France narrows trade
Paris - XINHUA

France, who is struggling to improve competitiveness of its products, narrowed by 6.2 percent its trade gap in September from a month earlier, thanks to boosted Airbus sales, official data showed on Friday.
Over the period, the trade gap was valued at 4.72 billion euros (5.85 billion U.S. dollars) compared to 5.03 billion euros recorded in August, according to customs' monthly figures.
French imports rose by 0.7 percent to 41.5 billion euros while sales abroad witnessed faster growth after generating 36.8 billion euros, up 1.7 percent.
September's positive performance stemmed mainly from higher sales of Airbus which helped the government to garner 1.95 billion euros against 1.19 billion euros a month earlier.
