The Federation of Gulf Cooperation Council Chambers (FGCCC) )'s Secretary-General Abdulrahim Hassan Naqi said that Japan may avail from available opportunities in the three sectors of halal trade: halal food, cosmetics and medical products.
Naqi pointed out that this is achievable through a realistic partnership and building a roadmap for supporting small- and medium-size manufacturing enterprises in the three sectors and benefiting from Japanese technology and financing which could be provided by the Islamic Development Bank and financial institutions and the establishment of a research centre to assume preparation of special indices of halal trade and provide information and studies.
The second project aims to establish a training centre for the purpose of qualification of Muslim and other citizens in order to be employed in accordance with Islamic Sharia and to benefit from available finance programmes for this purpose, he said.
