A delegation of businessman from Egypt visited the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) for Business to Business (B2B) meetings with Pakistani entrepreneurs, a statement said on Saturday. The delegates were on a visit to Pakistan for attending the 8th D-8 Summit. The Egyptian delegates expressed interest in promoting trade between the two countries. The businessmen said that they were looking forward to exploring possibilities of investment in various fields including agriculture, food processing, textiles, engineering, chemicals, pharmaceutical and building materials. Both sides should share information about trade exhibitions and fairs, which could be the most feasible option for strengthening mutual economic, cultural and trade ties between Egypt and Pakistan, they stressed. The Egyptian delegation comprised of Tamer Safwat, EECA’s consultant for External Exhibitions, Iman Abdel Maksoud Shaltout, Director of Egyptian Pavilion, May Sami Ahmed Hussain, Home Textile Exports Council, Ahmed Hamdy abdo Hendy from Chemical and Fertilisers Export Council, Omer Hafez El Hawwam from Textile Export Council, M Mostafa, Muhammad Amen from Bed Jansen and Shehab Eldin Farid from Egyptian Beverages.
