Finance Minister Amr el Garhi met on Saturday with his French counterpart Bruno Le Maire on the sidelines of the annual meetings between the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Washington.
In a press release, the ministry said the meeting tackled means of fostering economic and financial ties.
The minister also lauded France’s support for Egypt's economic reform program.
Egypt plans to issue euro-denominated bonds during the first quarter of 2018, he added.
Meanwhile, the French minister hailed the level of the Egyptian-French relations and asserted French President Emmanuel Macron’s keenness on fostering ties between the two countries in all fields.
