Trade exchange between Egypt and Romania is expected to hit one billion dollars by the end of 2015, the Romanian ambassador in Cairo said.
During a ceremony held at the Romanian embassy late Monday on the Romanian national day, Romanian Ambassador to Egypt Cornel Alecse said Egypt is Romania's oldest trade partner in the Middle East and North Africa.
Meanwhile, he lauded holding the Egyptian parliamentary elections - the final step in the roadmap.
Alecse said he highly appreciates efforts exerted by the Egypt to combat terrorism, expressing deep sorrow over the victims of recent terror attacks in Egypt, France, Lebanon, Tunisia, Iraq and Mali.
