Egyptian Ambassador to Germany Badr Abdel Aati met with Member of the German Bundestag and Chairman of the Committee on Economic Affairs and Energy Peter Ramsauer ahead of a delegation from Arab-German trade and industry 's visit to Cairo from September 13-17.
In a press release on Thursday, Egypt's Foreign Ministry said Arab-German trade and industry chamber secretary Abdel Aziz al Mikhlafi also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Ramsauer said that the delegation is considered the largest to be delegated to the Middle East including 40 members who represent 30 German companies in several sectors including transportation, technology, engineering, power and heavy industries.
Meanwhile, Aati said that Egypt welcomes the delegation, adding that the government is preparing for the delegation's visit and its expected meetings with several senior officials.
He also asserted that the investment climate in Egypt is stable and that the country is keen on attracting investments especially after the huge development projects currently established in Egypt including the new Suez Canal project and the Suez Canal Corridor Area Project.
