Secretary-General of the People’s Congress Party of China's Industrial City of Dongguan Xa Jinanhua called for strengthening of economic relations with Iran's Central city of Isfahan.
Xa Jinanhua said preparation should be made for the visit of Dongguan people to historical monuments of Isfahan.
Xa Jinanhua evaluated trade relations between Iran and China as bright and said Isfahan enjoys ample potentials for the expansion of economic cooperation in industrial, agriculture, tourism and service sectors with Dongguan.
He described Isfahan a beautiful and outstanding city in Iran and said handicrafts and valuable architecture can prepare the ground for the visit of Dongguan tourists to Isfahan.
He termed Dongguan an important industrial city in Guangdong Province and said gross domestic product of the city in 2013 was 549 billion Yuan and volume of export-import of the city stood at $153 billion.
He called for the expansion of economic relations between Dongguan and Isfahan and said economic ties is not merely in the area of exchange of commodities but can also be defined in the field of investment.
He said China is not a sole exporter country, adding that it can import commodities such as handicrafts from Isfahan.
Trade between Iran and China in the past year was estimated at $45bln.
