Bulgaria's economy expanded 0.8 per cent in 2012, less than expected, the National Statistical Institute NSI said Wednesday. According to dpa, the 2012 growth rate in 2012 fell below the 1.4 per cent that had been projected by the center-right government that resigned two weeks ago after mass protests at high electricity prices. In 2011, the Bulgarian economy expanded by 1.7 per cent.
