Premier’s Court President Shaikh Hussam bin Isa Al Khalifa received here today the Malaysian Ambassador to Bahrain Ahmad Shahizan Abd Samad and CEO of the Malaysian EAG Group, and discussed with them ways to enhance bilateral ties and bolster joint cooperation in the investment and economic fields.
Shaikh Husam said Bahrain welcomes Malaysian investments and is keen to activate the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed between the two countries, create suitable conditions to attract Malaysian investments to the Bahraini market and encourage the private sector in the two countries to build joint partnerships in the fields of energy generation, advanced technology, including others.
Shaikh Hussam praised the investments of EAG group in collecting waste and using it in generating energy, lauding Malaysia’s leading experience in this regard.
He lauded the solid Bahraini-Malaysian relations which, he said, have always been based on mutual understanding and respect and joint desire to broaden areas of bilateral cooperation for the common benefits of the two brotherly peoples.
The Malaysian Ambassador expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to government for its keenness to develop relations with his country, lauding the economic openness prevailing in the kingdom.
