The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will host the 14th Arab International Mineral Resources Conference from November 22 to 24.
The Conference aims at exchanging knowledge and experience between Arab and foreign experts and Arab and international institutions working in the mining sector and activating the Arab-international cooperation in this field. It also aims at acquainting with the mineral sector and its impact on the economies of Arab countries, the promotion of mining projects, the development of mining legislation and elimination of obstacles hindering Arab and foreign investments in this sector.
Director General of the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization (AIDMO) in Rabat Eng. Adel Al Saqer said at the third meeting of the preparatory committee that the conference will provide good opportunities to establish cooperation and partnership between Arab and foreign investors, pave the way for new projects, exchange experiences and expertise on the latest developments in the mining industry.
He stressed the need for Arab coordination in the mining sector for its importance in increasing the GDP of Arab countries and in achieving sustainable development of this sector.
