Walter Mazzarri has pledged his future to Napoli after revealing he plans to see out the remainder of his contract at the San Paolo stadium. The former Sampdoria coach, who has been in charge of Napoli since 2009, has been a reported target of several top clubs in Italy and Europe in recent months. "I have a contract until June 2013 and I intend to respect it," Mazzarri said to Corriere dello Sport. "The right ingredients are here to win the Scudetto, but within a reasonable time." Mazzarri led Napoli to a sixth-placed finish in his first year in charge and last season guided them to a hugely impressive third place and qualification to the UEFA Champions League. "For the past two years, we have been among the best in the league," Mazzarri said. "That is the reward for maturing as a team. However, AC Milan, Juventus, Inter Milan are used to fighting for titles and we are not. We need time to grow, something this club has been doing in recent years." Mazzarri, nevertheless, believes his team can continue to succeed this season. The Azzurri, who are sixth in Serie A, qualified for the knock-out stages of the Champions League at the expense of Manchester City last month. "We have done very well so far," Mazzarri said. "We await our (Champions League tie) with Chelsea, while in the domestic competition we are in a good position. We have a bright future ahead."
