South Korean figure skating star Kim Yu-Na has reached a court-arranged settlement with her former management agency under which the agency will pay her 800 million won ($698,000) in arrears. The settlement came Monday after IB Sports agreed to pay outstanding portions of Kim's endorsement money, according to the Seoul Central District Court. The Olympic champion set up her own management agency in 2010 and filed a lawsuit against IB Sports for 876 million won, saying it owed her money from endorsement and advertising deals. Kim was listed in 2010 as one of the world's highest-paid female athletes with annual earnings of $9.7 million. But she skipped tournaments due to her busy schedule promoting Pyeongchang's successful bid for the 2018 Winter Olympics as a goodwill ambassador. She remains a highly sought-after star among advertisers although there has been widespread media speculation about retirement.
