ASTON MARTIN ace Darren Turner will feel like a Strictly Come Dancing contestant this year as he goes "quick quick slow" in three racing series. Turner will battle legions of Ferraris and Porsches in a new Aston in the GT section of the pioneering World Endurance Championship. There's a strong possibility he will again be out in the World GT Championship, in which he finished runner-up last season. And at a much more mundane pace, he will drive a 1958 Ford Zodiac in historic car races! Turner, who wowed crowds at last year's Goodwood Revival meeting with a giant-killing act in a Mini, calls the Zodiac "my little baby". He bought it with a pal. And he said: "The big appeal of historic racing is to do what we all got into racing for in the first place – have fun." In an exclusive interview with SunSport, Turner also talks about his excitement for Aston's new GT project and reveals the story behind the much-loved marque's disastrous attempt to win Le Mans last year with their doomed prototype.
