International Relations Commissioner of Palestinian Fatah movement Nabil Shaath on Tuesday said that a US decision to transferr its embassy to Al Quds is a crime against international law and the UN Security Council resolution 2334.

In an interview with the Palestinian official TV, he added that efforts are maintained by the Palestinian leadership for urging the international community to reject this decision.

These efforts, he explained, included attending the Paris peace conference and going to the UNSC that adopted the 2334 resolution on Israeli settlements.

The Palestinian side will not be engaged in the peace process through the US if Washington transferred its embassy to Al Quds, he pointed out.

"We will not allow US President Donald Trump to achieve peace through supporting Israel and the settlement activities", he added.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does not want to achieve peace, said Shaath, noting that he was only seeking to invest the current transitional phase to obtain the US's protection to seize more Palestinian territories.
