Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas underlined that the Palestinian issue represents the core of conflict in the region and the whole world.
Security will prevail the world, if peace is achieved in Palestine according to the Arab peace initiative to establish a Palestinian independent state with Al Quds (East Jerusalem) as its capital on the 1967 borders, he underscored.
These remarks came during the meeting held between Abbas and Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and her accompanying delegation here.
Abbas stressed on the importance of holding an international conference for peace to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict such as the international committees that solved some crises in the region and the world.
He further posted Swaraj on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories.
The meeting took up also conditions in Syria and the Palestinian efforts exerted to find a political solution for its crisis.
Abbas underscored on his keenness to promote the historic relations with India, lauding the support offered by the Asian country to the Palestinian people in all fields.
For her part, the Indian top diplomat said that her country backs the two-state solution, noting that India will continue offering political and economic support to the Palestinian people.
During the get-together, it was agreed to form a joint ministerial committee to implement some developmental ventures in Palestine.
