Chair of the French national assembly foreign committee, Elizabeth Guigou, stressed that Morocco is a haven of stability and economic and social progress, that has succeeded in meeting the aspirations of its youth. In an interview with radio station “Medi 1″, the French socialist MP said Morocco has succeeded in meeting the aspirations of its youth to freedom, democracy and the rule of law while developing ties with its economic partners. The French former justice minister considered that Morocco is way ahead of other countries in the Maghreb and sub-Saharan Africa, noting that there are some major reforms that still need to be conducted. Guigou who has paid a working visit to Morocco also insisted on the movement of people between Morocco and the European Union, recalling efforts made to facilitate the delivery of entry visas to European countries.
