Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas
Riyadh - Arab Today

Al Aqsa Mosque is a red line the Palestinians and Arabs would never allow to be crossed whatever it takes, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said on Friday.

Speaking to the Saudi newspaper Okaz, Abbas urged the world's major powers to exercise pressures on Israel to stop its provocations to all Muslims and Palestinians.

He praised the Saudi stance refusing the Israeli settlers' attacks against Al Aqsa Mosque, as it was always a defender to the protect of the Islamic holly sites in Al Quds.

Abbas wished that the world's major powers could quickly intervene to make an end to the Israeli provocations and its violations at Al Aqsa Mosque, adding he held contacts with several Arab and foreign leaders for taking swift action in this regard.
