The 30-year-old striker will continue his recovery at home after being discharged following his serious injury, suffered during the recent Club World Cup tournament in Japan.Barcelona forward David Villa was released from hospital on Christmas Eve in order to spend the holiday with his family, the club's official website has confirmed.The 30-year-old sustained a broken leg during the Club World Cup semi-final victory over Al Sadd, and soon underwent surgery on the injury.After a period in hospital, Villa was discharged on Saturday in order to spend the holiday at home.Villa is expected to be missing for the European champions for up to five months, but the Spain star is hoping to return in time for his national side's defence of the European Championships in June.Barcelona will restart their season with a Copa del Rey clash against Osasuna on January 3.
