Real Madrid's Portuguese duo Fabio Coentrao and Pepe have been sidelined with muscle strains which they picked up during their side's shock 1-0 loss to Levante on Sunday, the Spanish giants side. Medical tests carried out on Monday detected the injuries in the two player's left legs, the club said in a statement. Real did not say how long the players would be out of action. Coentrao, a 23-year-old defender, joined Real from Benfica in July 2011 while Pepe, a 28-year-old centre-back, joined the Spanish giants from Porto in July 2007. Real played much of Sunday's game against Levante with only 10 men after Sami Khedira was sent off for picking up a second yellow card. The capital giants face Racing Santander on Wednesday.
