Madison Bumgarner stymied the Padres on one run over 7 2/3 innings Sunday, carrying the San Francisco Giants to a 4-1 win over San Diego. Bumgarner (4-1) won his fourth straight start following a season-opening loss, holding the Padres to one run on six hits. The left-hander issued only one walk and struck out six. Sergio Romo got the final out in the eighth and Santiago Casilla earned his fourth save as the Giants took the rubber match of a three-game set at AT&T Park. Pablo Sandoval knocked a first-inning homer and Joaquin Arias added a two-run triple for San Francisco. San Diego's Clayton Richard (1-3) was the loser, surrendering four runs on eight hits in seven innings.
