Edinson Volquez and four relievers held the Rockies to five hits Monday and the San Diego Padres snapped a three-game skid with a 3-2 win over Colorado. Joe Thatcher, Brad Brach and Luke Gregerson combined for 2 2/3 scoreless innings of relief and Dale Thayer collected his first save since 2009 to secure the Padres' victory. Yonder Alonso delivered a two-run single in the first inning and Orlando Hudson scored the eventual game-winner on a wild pitch in the second.
