Nayf al-Hajraf has offered his condolences Kuwait City - Arabstoday Father of the late Kuwaiti schoolgirl, Nora al-Dasam, has denied that his daughter was beaten by her teacher, adding that her death was natural, al-Anba daily has reported. Ali al-Dasam says that Kuwait's Minister of Education Nayf al-Hajraf had told him about how his daughter had passed away, and claims that the account did not differ from his own findings or those of the school teachers. Al-Dasam says that rumours about Nora's death have increased the impact of the tragedy. Ten-year old Nora died at her school in the Sabah al-Nasser area last Wednesday. Interior ministry officials said the student had passed away due to natural causes, even though an eyewitness claimed to have seen a teacher hitting the girl with a book. The girl's father has also confirmed that contrary to reports, Nora did not have a heart problem.
