Six PKK militants have been killed during a security operation carried by Turkish military in the country's southeastern Bitlis province.
Two Turkish soldiers were killed on early Saturday in the operation, according to Bitlis governor's office statement. Two other soldiers were wounded during, said the statement.
According to Turkey's news agency (Anadolu), the statement added that the operation to capture the militants is still underway.
"Our security forces, with support of the local community, will continue to fight against terrorists throughout of our province for the purpose of providing peace and security," the statement said.
