H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, has said that Flag Day celebrations reflect the culture of respect that our people hold for the UAE flag, as it is a symbol of sovereignty, unity and belonging.
"The UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has attained remarkable achievements, highlighting the nation's prosperity in regional and international forums, and formulating a forward-looking vision for future generations. His Highness has ensured that all necessary measures are taken to build strong foundations for the nation's economy, develop financial policies, and improve the level of governmental services to promote the building of a just and prosperous nation," H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid added.
"In celebrating the UAE flag, we are renewing our loyalty to the nation and President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, under whose wise leadership we have witnessed comprehensive developments in all fields, enabling Emiratis to innovate and create, proving once again that the UAE people are the wealth of the nation, building a bright and prosperous future for generations to come," Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid continued.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid said that the celebration aims to connect the UAE youth with their national and cultural heritage and to further acquaint them with the efforts and sacrifices made by the Founding Fathers in leading the nation's march towards development. "We renew our commitment to our national principles that stem from our loyalty and sense of belonging to the homeland and its leadership."
"The UAE is the land of good and giving, and the UAE flag is a beacon, representing the spirit and values of the country in regional and international arenas," Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid concluded.
