The UAE has become the permanent headquarters of Asia Skills, announced Mubarak Saeed Al Shamsi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, ACTVET.
He said that this achievement confirms the confidence of Asia in the UAE.
"The UAE’s hosting of the seat of Asia Skills will create a paradigm shift in the technical and vocational education and training, TVET, system to cover all Asian countries,'' added Al Shamsi.
The ACTVET Director-General explained that the organisation will follow a new strategy based on international standards and objectives including the educational and industrial advancement in Asia in alignment with the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The UAE organised the 44th WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017 from 15th to 18th October 2017, for the first time in the Middle East.
