Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Wali will head Monday a conference on the role of civil society organizations in fighting corruption, under the auspices of Prime Minister Sherif Ismail.
The conference is expected to discuss the civil society organisations' plan to combat corruption in accordance with the government's anti-corruption strategy of 2014-2018, the ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
The statement explained that the conference will also focus on ways to create public awareness on the impact of corruption on society.
All bodies concerned with combating corruption and members of the working group formed by the prime minister, which is tasked with encouraging civil society organisations to take part in fighting corruption will participate in the conference, the statement added.
