RAS AL KHAIMAH - Arab Today

Effective November 1st, motorists in Ras Al Khaimah will be given a 55 percent discount on traffic fines on the occasion of the 7th anniversary of the ascension day of H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah.

Major General Ali Abdullah Bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of the Ras Al Khaimah Police, made the announcement on Thursday, noting that the generous move will take effect from November 1st through November 15th and will cover all types of traffic violations.

"The move is considered the biggest traffic discount ever in the emirate and it will include all types of traffic violations committed in the emirate," he said.

"His Highness the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, adopting an ambitious vision, has launched several development initiatives and projects to enhance the quality and standards of living in the emirate to ensure safety, security, and stability everywhere in Ras Al Khaimah," Al Nuaimi added.

The decision is intended to reduce the burden on residents, he said, urging all motorists to take advantage of this grace period and settle their fines as well as to observe traffic rules.
