Carrying humanitarian and medical aid, an Arab parliamentary delegation has arrived in the Israeli-blockaded Gaza Strip via Egypt's Rafah crossing. Led by Abdul-Qader Al-Samari, the team, involving 22 Arab MPs, was welcomed by several Palestinian lawmakers and officials of the government in Gaza. The humanitarian aid includes 20 tons of medical supplies, garments, school items and blankets. Al-Samari said the move by the Arab Parliament is intended to remind the Arab and Muslim worlds of the Palestinian issue. "Our visit is meant to keep the Palestinian cause vivid in the minds of the whole of the nation, Arabs and Muslims," he told a news conference upon arrival here. "We are here to offer support and help to the Palestinian people, mainly civilians whose houses are raided by Israeli occupying forces everyday," he added. The Arab members of parliament vowed to struggle until Palestine is liberated from the Israeli enemy.
