The online survey by Zarca involved 750 residents including Emiratis, Asians from the subcontinent and Western expatriates. The survey showed 21 per cent of respondents do not exercise at all. A majority log on to the internet or watch TV to relax instead of going to the gym or doing any physical exercise. Workaholics About 38 per cent of respondents said they bring their work home at least three times a week. On the positive side the survey showed 60 per cent of respondents measure their weight regularly. More than 25 per cent regularly monitor blood sugar levels, and 57 per cent claimed they check the ingredients of products before buying.
