Manama - BNA

Chairman of the Supreme Health Council Lieutenant General Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa said the council will take into consideration all the recommendations of the International Paediatric Conference and harmonise laws and health procedures in Bahrain with the outcome of the conference.
In an interview with "Kalam Seha" (Speech on Health) website, Lt. General Shaikh Mohammed stressed the importance of the conference which is organised by the Arabian Gulf University (AGU) on February 23 and 24 at Art Rotana Hotel, Amwaj islands. He noted that the conference brings together an elite of specialists in paediatrics from Bahrain and all over the world to shed light on children’s health problems and diseases, ways of preventing them and the latest methods of treating them. He hailed the event as a platform for an elite of paediatricians from many countries like Germany, Thailand, Canada, Ireland, India, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and Sudan to discuss their experiences in treating many cases and spotlight innovated medical techniques in this respect.
Lt. General Shaikh Mohammed underlined Bahrain’s status as a major host of international conferences and exhibitions as well as specialised medical gatherings. He said Bahrain has known a great progress in the era of His Majesty the King in attracting regional and international exhibitions in various disciplines. He affirmed keenness of the Supreme Health Council, since its inception, on hosting regional and international medical conferences to get updated on the latest innovations in medical sciences and transfer them to Bahrain. He also underscored Bahrain’s keenness to provide every care for the children, being the pillar of community welfare.
