President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attended on Sunday the graduation ceremony of the New Technology Leaders (NTL) initiative.

The ceremony was held at the new International Conference Center in the 5th Settlement district of New Cairo.

Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, Defense Minister Sedki Sobhi in addition to a host of ministers and senior officials attended the celebration.
Communications and Information Technology Minister Yasser el Qadi said the Technology Learning Initiative (NTL) is an new initiative that was launched by President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi in 2015 to build capacity of young calibers on the latest information and communications technologies (ICT) and Electronics.

The initiative is carried out by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) through the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency.

He said 5,000 learners are now being graduated after successfully completing courses in the information technology and communications .
Communications and Information Technology Minister Yasser el Qadi affirmed that not all the successful technological projects were displayed during today's graduation ceremony, adding that more projects will be featured during Cairo's Communications and IT fair, set to be held by the end of the year.

Investment in the youth human resources cadres in the IT field leads to highest rates of growth and development across the nation, minister Qadi pointed out.

He added that investment in such fields is met with world appreciation, citing Egypt's top ranking among Middle Eastern countries.

Gartner global company has named Egypt among world's best communication industry destinations in Europe, Middle East and Africa for the years 2016-2017, Qadi said.

In 2016, Global Sourcing Association awarded Egypt the prize of the best technological destination, the minister went on to say.
