Sisi arrives at Alexandria naval base

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrived on Thursday at Alexandria naval base to raise the national flag over new naval units.
Upon arrival, the president reviewed the presidential guards of honor.
The president is scheduled to attend the flag-hoisting ceremony for the new Egyptian naval units; French-made GOWIND corvette, named "Al Fateh", TKMS-built Type 209/1400 submarine and Mistral-class helicopter carrier, which is named after the late president Anwar el Sadat.
This coincides with the 50th anniversary of establishing the Egyptian Navy, which is the largest navy in the Middle East and Africa.
