Oil Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa inaugurated today the emerging industrial enterprises creativity corner, on the sidelines of the 4th Middle East Process Engineering Conference and Exhibition (MEPEC) 2017 which is hosted by Bahrain under the patronage of His Royal Highness the Prime Minister from October 9 to 11 under the theme "Sustainable Growth Through Process Innovation and Downstream Integration".
Shaikh Mohammed lauded the distinguished efforts of the organising parties in including a number of outstanding industrial initiatives, particularly the creativity corner, which represented a milestone in the event amid global economic developments that necessitate institutional innovation and creativity to ensure competitiveness and sustainability. He cited many giant industrial firms which affirmed commitment to promoting the culture of innovation, creativity and investment in various industrial and technological fields.
The Oil Minister visited the creativity initiatives of the companies which topped 25 from all over the world and which provided a detailed account on their creativity projects aimed at improving their products. He praised the creativity corner, stressing that commitment to creativity and innovation requires creating a promotional environment to raise new ideas. He hailed the initiatives at the creativity corner, underlining their importance for the modernisation and development schemes in the oil and gas sector as part of the strategic initiatives of the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA).
The organisers and entrepreneurs at the creativity corner expressed happiness about the inauguration to showcase their ideas and innovations in the global event which features cutting edge technologies in the oil, gas and petrochemicals sector.
